Recently, a Google Pixel Fold was spotted in the hands of a subway rider in New York City. This is the first time the device has been seen in public. Although the device was completely covered, the design appears to be similar to the OPPO Find N2.

A Reddit user shared live images of the Google Pixel Fold, claiming to have seen a Google employee with the rumoured foldable smartphone. The images show the phone’s cover screen with black bezels around the edges. It’s worth noting that only the cover screen of the phone is visible in the images, instead of the large unfolded display. The design of the device appears to be similar to the OPPO Find N2, with a compact cover screen and a large folding display. The images also reveal a person watching a video on the device.

No Official Confirmation From Google

It’s important to note that there is no official confirmation from Google about the existence or release of the Pixel Fold. The leaked images could be fake or doctored. However, considering the latest leak, we can safely assume that the handset has gone through the testing phase and the internal team is testing the device.

Leaked Specifications Of Google Pixel Fold

Previous leaks suggest that the Pixel Fold may come equipped with a foldable screen that measures 7.57 inches, as well as a cover with a screen size of 5.78 inches, both reportedly made by Google. The smartphone is also tipped to pack a 4,700mAh battery and the latest Android 13 operating system pre-installed. Rumour mills also suggest that the Pixel Fold will continue the rear camera strap design like the Pixel 7 series. The smartphone is likely to sport a triple rear camera setup, which might be the one used on the Pixel 7 Pro.

Google Pixel Fold Expected Price & Launch

The foldable phone is expected to launch with a price point of USD 1800, and it’s believed that the company will launch it at the I/O 2023 conference. However, we will have to wait for an official announcement from Google to confirm the device’s launch date and price.

While the live images of the Google Pixel Fold shared on Reddit are not official, they do provide a glimpse into the design and features of the device. With the Pixel Fold, Google is likely to join the league of foldable smartphones, which includes the likes of Samsung, Huawei and Motorola.
